It has been a long time coming but preparations are almost finished for our re-opening. The plan is to open our doors to the public on Monday the 18th of October. We have had plenty of time to reflect on our operations here at the centre, what worked, more importantly what didn’t, and we have decided that adjustments will have to be made to the way we had been doing things pre covid.

The centre will be open to the public from 10am-12am Monday to Friday for general viewing only, we will be continuing adoptions by appointment only which we have used over the past 12 months and is working very well for us. This is based on us getting a filled adoption form by email, post or dropped into the office and then we liaise with the potential adoptees with a viewing time for them to spend one on one time with their hopefully new family member. This will take a bit of getting used to as people in the past could ask for a meet and greet when they arrive, but we are discontinuing this practise.

We will still be insisting that visitors disinfect their hands on entry and that everyone over the age of 12 years is also wearing a mask, no mask no entry, we are going to be very strict on our mask policy and abuse towards staff for mask wearing will not be tolerated.  We will post again on Facebook and a reminder will also be put up on our website as the opening day draws nearer and we look forward to your support with the changes we are implementing.
