This little one was handed into the clinic with hind limb weakness. After receiving medication, warmth & comfort, he is now in our unit until he is old & strong enough to be released.
Facts:
•Cubs are born between May & July, foxes become more vocal & active during this period. You can often see them hunting or catching some rays in the sun!
•Did you know that fox cubs are born deaf and blind? After 4 weeks their pupils appear brown/grey in colour.
•At 8 weeks old, their facial features become more proportional, the woolly coats start to disappear, and their eyes change to the traditional amber colour.
•Vixens & their cubs would stay together until late September.
•This is where you’ll notice the family disperse and start learning & hunting on their own.
