As many of you know, our aviary was under construction for a couple months.
Our team reached too many lengths to prepare the aviary for a new dose of paint!
The first job was to catch all the birds to move them to temporary housing. . . . . . . . . as you can imagine it was a scene from The Beano . . . its fair to say we had a giggle!
All materials that were damaged & needed to be replaced were removed.
The walls were brushed down & washed before any painting could start.
All plants that you see in the aviary, have been kindly donated by Greenveldt, they have been donating plants to the CSPCA for last couple of years, they have played a massive part in making our aviary come to life!
The feeding station, heat lamp corner, new roof, perches. . . pretty much everything that was replaced & fixed were materials that we had already from other projects in the past, nothing says recycling like reusing materials & giving it a second use in life!
When it came to the walls, our team were looking for a wall mural that would catch the essence of the birds.
After two weeks of the windows being covered & not knowing what to expect, the fabulous Caitlin Paints revealed the truly amazing work that blew us all away!
To truly appreciate the artwork, it’s a must see if your near the area.
