Community Neutering Pilot Scheme

CSPCA in conjunction with Cork City Council.

Community Neutering Pilot Scheme is now commencing.

Community neutering scheme will allow applicants to apply to have their female dog spayed/neutered at a subsided rate of €10.00 this to cover cost of processing fees.

This voucher can only be used at the veterinary clinic the CSPCA uses.

Criteria to avail of the scheme:

•Female dogs only.

•Pet must be a minimum of 1 year old.

•Have a valid Dog license and a registered microchip (Dog can be microchipped on the day of surgery)

•Breeds applicable for the pilot scheme currently due to the surge in numbers of these breeds in Pounds and Shelters are: Lurchers, Belgian Malinois and Bull Breeds (and their crosses).

•Pilot scheme is being rolled out first in three areas of Cork City: Mahon, Togher and Mayfield.

•Limit of one dog per household per year.
