Rescued Barn Owl

Rescued Barn Owl

Say hello to our female barn owl. You might already seen her on our facebook page.

She has been with us for over 3 weeks & hopefully on the road to recovery.

She was found by a kind gentleman who bought her into us.

She had a break in her leg, a few wounds on the wings and covered in oil.

After a stay with the vets, she’s now back at our base where she has been given strict instruction to rest!
Thank you to Glasslyn Vet Clinic for starting her road to recovery!💪

Did you know how to tell whether a barn owl is male or female??

Females show more colouration/speckles on their chest and are slightly spotted underneath their wings.

Males are can be more paler in colour than females, majority of time they would show no speckles on the underneath of their wings.

90% of the time you can sex barn owls by their feathers.
